Carrier Weight Rules not being applied(Solved)

Had a strange problem the last few days which i finally solved myself after much head scratching

My weight Rules were not being applied and i had too many carriers available.

 

Anything under 5kg was set for Royal Mail

Anything over 5kg was a inhouse delivery set inhouse carrier at 6KG +

I had highlighted in Blue both of my carriers and pressed save

(This was wrong it caused the weigh rules not to be applied)

 

I did a test added a 30kg item to basket and ran through checkout....Royal Mail appears as a courier although should not have been as this item is 30kg.

Royal mail appears as a courier and the cost is free !

 

Resolution

Went to the product then shipping and and unselected the carriers that were highlighted in blue and pressed save.

 

So if you ever find you have too many carriers when doing a test run and the weight rules are not being applied then this might resolve your problem. It did for me.
