Greek translation, product short description problem

Hello everyone,

Im using the greek translation on my prestashop site and i have found a problem that i can't find any clue around the forums on how to solve.
The short description of the prodcut creation must be around 400 chars or less, which works great on the english version.

The thing with the greek language is that each letter counts more than 1 english letter i guess, the thing is that it shows normaly as 1 letter but in order for the machines to translate it, it takes more symbols.

So i can only type like 50 or so letters in greek because more of them make the machine think that i typed more than 400.
Ill attach a picture for you to see the difference.

Anyone got any idea how i can change the max letters in the short description?
