[Solved] Product Import Strange Errors - Dox Are Wrong

I've been beating my head against a never-ending stream of undocumented errors during CSV product import. Some, like "date_add", can only be found in documentation suggesting they are no longer used.

 

All of these are caused by a single problem: the documentation is incorrect. If you use the example product file they link to at the top of the import page, several fields at the end of the file are in the wrong place.

 

To fix this, simply examine the import *very* carefully on the second screen and be sure to scroll (using the left and right buttons) through *every single field* and make sure the pop-up at the top of the screen is the same as the term in the header.

 

The specific examples that were getting me was that the "Image URL" is in the location of a field called available_for_sale, and the "Featured" column is actually "Date added".

 

Extremely annoying.
