dustcollector
Hi everyone, I recently did a upgrade to 1.5.3 and it was a disaster! Everything including my admin page and main website was blank! I followed the prestashop document and did a clean restoration. 1. Delete all folders from FTP connection to root folder 2. Delete tables from database 3. Restore 4. Restore by importing backup tables Everything went smoothly but now i'm having this error: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /xxxwebsite on this server. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Could someone please advise what I should do??? Greatly appreciated! Thank you! PascalVG
looks like some folder/file permissions are wrong. I think in the installation manual they write about this, and how to set it up/change these: (some permission change command that looks like "CHMOD 644 ...." if I recall well). Be careful not to open up too much, as it makes your site vulnerable though!

dustcollector
Can you summarise what was the problem/solution? For educational purpose and others looking for solution for this problem... Thanks! Hi, Sorry but I'm not a technically trained person and thus I ended up looking for professional help and apparently the database was also messed up. The backup file was saved but it was slightly corrupted even before the upgrading.
