CorePart
Hi, im in the process of upgrading my customers site from 1.4.8 to 1.5+ What id like to do is only copy over the database categories and products. which specific tables should i pull over? is it even possible? I dread the thought of having to tell my customer they need to redo there full product list and categories. Cheers
Dev On Web
Hi, The database structure is not the same accross versions ! Don't copy tables. Uses the upgrade module for this.
CorePart
Ah fair enough, I will need to downgrade then upgrade and backup the 1.5+ database. as my theme isn't compatible so its being recoded for the latest updates. Thank you Dev On Web for your hasty reply. Cheers

CorePart
Im hoping a Prestashop Admin will reply to this thread, my database has a corruption in it anytime i reload it the website doesnt display but all the products will be in the admin back end. so this is my reason for wanting to know which tables to import as i believe the access table or something is holding wrong data. Sping
What about using something like Navicat to import and export parts of your database. I have found upgrade procedure so buggy, something always breaks and the databases are never "clean" when you compare them to a new install.
