Modify Product URL - Replace ean13 with reference

Hi

 

I've tried modifying the Link.php file to replace ean13 with the products Reference in the URL for the Product. But i cant get it to work.

 

Any ideas please?

Ok here's an example for you.

 

The url to the product Weber Spirit E-310 BBQ is currently:-

 

http://www.bbqs2u.co.uk/weber-spirit-bbqs/49-weber-spirit-classic-e-310-bbq-077924015427.html

 

What i want is for the url to use the products Reference number "46410074" rather than the EAN13 number "077924015427" so the url i want in this example is:-

 

http://www.bbqs2u.co.uk/weber-spirit-bbqs/49-weber-spirit-classic-e-310-bbq-46410074.html

 

This should be easy, does anyone know how to do this? I'm sure it needs to be done in the Link.php file.

I am also interested in this. My items (toy cars) are often searched for by mainly by reference number.
For SEO it is crucial to get a high ranking when people search by reference.

In case your query is not solved yet, solution to products link (exact like example) is given below.
 
 --
go to: Preferences > SEO & URLs
 
under 'Schema of URLs' tab in 'Route to products' box enter

{category:/}{id}-{rewrite}{-:reference}.html
