[SOLVED] "Free Shipping!" in Cart Anomaly

Recommended Posts

Hi!

After about 24 hours of straight hacking I finally got Prestashop's SEO disappearing product images bug worked out! whew... that was a task.

I have one strange thing still happening...

As a newcomer, to the shop ... a vistor might arrive at a product, clikc "Add to Cart".

So, to demonstrate, one might arrive here, and then click "add to cart":

http://www.solarpane.../3-solar-panels

Now here is my issue.

Hover over the cart icons, top right, with your mouse.

It says"Free Shipping!".

Click on "Check out", it takes you to the summary Cart page.

It says "Free Shipping!" here, too.

Shipping is not free, and if you continue on to register with the site, it will calculate shipping, so why is it saying it is free.

Thanks

Yes. Once I log in, it gives me the option to choose a shipper, which, in Canada, can only be UPS (and it works) because both the FEDEX and Canada Post Modules are outdated/broken, as far as I can see... but yes, the UPS option then comes up... but...

it's very misleading - and actually, given Canadian laws for advertising - it's actually illegal! (to advertise something free, then offer nothing free at POS)

not good.

Prestashop Cart says "Free Shipping!" before customer logs in, after adding a product to cart.

Ok.

I figured it out.

This bad bug is an easy fix, fortunately, so no one will get arrested!! LOL

First File to change:

/themes/default/modules/blockcart/blockcart.tpl

Near the top find "Free Shipping!" - i changed mine to -log in to see-

Second File to change:

/themes/default/Shopping-cart.tpl

CTRL-F search: "Free Shipping!"

I changed mine to read: "-log in to see-"
