Final price not showing tax in back office.

Hi,

 

On my customers' site, I'm only seeing prices in the backend without VAT. Previously the Base Price has shown the price without VAT and the Final Price shows the retail price with VAT added. The retail price in the frontend is displayed correctly, though.

 

The tax rule is set to 20%, and I've checked that that has 20% applied for all countries and territories in the tax rules.

 

If this cannot be easily resolved, my customer is keen to stop using the website to calculate taxes, and simply to work with final retail prices, with tax set to 0. As a tax invoice will be included with all sales, are there any disadvantages to doing this? He sells some products which are not liable to VAT (some foodstuffs and safety helmets for example) if this changes the situation.
