tb2 Posted December 7, 2012 Share Posted December 7, 2012 I am using hostupon.com as my web hosting company for my Prestashop 1.5.2. I am using a default theme. Yesterday I upgraded from the share host to VPS100 plan with 1.0 gb ram with root access as recommended by the tech support. I asked them to install memcache for me, and they said they did and told me to add the server IP as 127.0.0.1 and the port and the weight keep it as default value. I am trying to enable the caching option, but it will not save the setting. There is no error display, just warning that memcached PECL extension must be installed. I tried rebooting my laptop, clear my browser cache and nothing help. Would you please kindly advise and let me know what might be wrong? Please see the attached image. I am not very technical on the server configuration issues to setup the memcache by myself. I can play around the configuration a little bit here and there, but I am no where near a amateur webmaster. A simple kind explaination is greatly apprecated. olivierColas Posted January 30, 2013 Share Posted January 30, 2013 Hi TB2, Same for me, upgrade from share web host to VPS with www.lethost.ie Memcached has been been installed but they are not familiar for setting with PS. So I follow this post for some help. If I find the problem, I will update here but I hope to have some. So far I can see my picture on my shop, I don't if that come from this memcached things? Developer are not slave , I am one developer but sometime I stuck as everyone and I try to ask help to another developer but prestashop is great and free but I have some doubt about reactivity . Business need to be efficient and fast. I hope to get another at some stage but this is not in my plan to to be slowdown. I am going to advertise for my business and have some marketing action with show. if this problem with picture. PS will come unfortunately useless.
