SOLVED: Last Name Required

Hi everyone,

 

After reading a lot of topics of the same problem as me I have decided to start this topic because I can't solve the problem.

 

My website ( www.decolovin.com ) was working correctly, and suddenly when a client try to register on it a problem occured: last name is required. In your adress section there isn't any field of last name and I don't know how to make it reappear again.

 

I have checked authentification,tpl , adress.tpl , and order-opc-new-account.tpl and upload again the files but the problem still happen.

 

Please, can someone help me? Because any client can register in my shop.

Hi decolovin,

as I can see you've got authentication.tpl modified (there is no last name input in address section but should be). I suppose you're using some PS 1.4 version which is still available in SVN repository. Download mentioned file and compare your one with original.

do have the same section in your authentication.tpl file? Be sure what theme you're using and what file comparing.

Finally, I have restored the Prestashop version to the previous one, 1.4.2 because I had a back up. Although the problem with the registration persists, the last name is required. I have checked the files and they are correct. Any other solution please?

I've solved the problem using the following solution.

 

As sebkos indicated here, http://www.prestasho...92#entry1031492, the problem seemed to be in the section concerning the detection of the lastname in the address block. As there were no problem with the detection of the firstname, I've deleted the elseif line in order to force the code to show both firstname and lastname fields when firstname is detected.

 

This was the aspect of the file authentication.tpl before the modification...

Hi decolovin,

 

good to hear everything is OK now. By the way your store is very nice, but I can see a few little problems. If "ES" language is active there is "electronico" text inside login input, just delete

#authentication #create-account_form p.text label {
width: 100px;
}

 

and in next page account creation form is too high and line goes through "Your personal information" text.
