How to put a custom created page, link it to prestashop and enable it on my storefront

I'm a student in a group whom are tasked to create an e-commerce site using a baseline. Right now my group mates are tasked with creating a custom page(outside of prestashop) and as for me I'm trying to figure out how to link that page to prestashop as in I want to link the page they've created while maintaining the modules, menus and basic layout of the store. I just want to change the green area. Thoughts? Do it via a module or modifying css?

I couldn't find "homeeditorial" on http://addons.prestashop.com/en/ or google for that matter. Could you link it to me?

It is the default module "Home text editor". I wish you success in your studies.

Thank you! However I want to create the page on somewhere other than the home page and the home text editor is only for the homepage. Any other ideas?

View the content of the file layout.tpl of your theme. Here {$template} is resposible for display information in center column
