Technical Error when adding to the cart.

My customers have told me today that they cannot add anything to the cart. Getting the below error message

 

 

TECHNICAL ERROR: unable to add the product.

 

Details:

Error thrown: [object XMLHttpRequest]

Text status: error

 

Similar message if I try and remove from the cart. I am using PS Version 1.4.6.2

I don't have the line it requests to change as suggested - I have this

 

'content_dir' => $protocol_content.(($useSSL)?Tools::getShopDomainSsl():Tools::getShopDomain()).__PS_BASE_URI__,

Just enter the cartblock configuration, disable ajax cart, and then enable it back.

See if there is a blockcart-ajax.php file within your blockcart module, disable ajax cart and enable again.

 

You can also check out shopping cart daignostics service, it will monitor your users, and inform you if there;s an error at checkout or add-to-cart. I guess it's better than just wait till a customer complains.
