Setting URL for new Sub Domain

Hi all,

 

So assuming my website is http://www.xyz.com

I have prestashop installed at http://www.xyz.com/shop however I would like to create a new subdomain http://shop.xyz.com

 

So I did create the new sub domain and I pointed it to the shop folder as expected however I am not sure what settings I need to make in Prestashop 1.5.2 for this to work.

 

At the moment I have:

Shop Domain xyz.com

SSL domain xyz.com

Base URI /shop/

 

I modified them to

 

Shop Domain shop.xyz.com

SSL domain shop.xyz.com

Base URI /

 

All I can say is that I had to restore the database after these settings and all is back to normal.

What I did notice as a good thing is that the favicon.ico DOES NOT WORK however with the error I got, it actually worked! lol

Hi all,

 

Is there no one who has a clue on how to go about this? Did I give out lack of information?

I'd appreciate any clue as to how to set these.
