Paypal issues

I am a newbie and never done a ecommerce site, so take it easy on me and all help will be greatly appreciated...lol

 

I have installed the paypal module and from site when I go to checkout and hit the pay with paypal, I get the following message:

• PayPal response:
  
• TIMESTAMP -> 2012-09-11T18:39:06Z
  
• L_ERRORCODE0 -> 10002
  
• L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> Security error
  
• L_LONGMESSAGE0 -> Security header is not valid
  
• L_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error
  

 

I do have my API info added and the module says no issues and I am ready to go, but obviously something is up.

You user name of password is incorrect. Do not copy and paste them, hand type them in. https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=developer/e_howto_api_nvp_errorcodes

well, that seemed to work kinda. It let me go thru the check out and enter paypal but when paypal is thru it goes to next page which says:

 

Fatal error (Address -> address1 is empty)

Uninstall your paypal module and download the newest one from addons.prestashop.com (it is free) there is a bug in some of the recent modules that causes that. You can read more about it in the prestashop >> english >> paypal forum
