customizable product needs several input fields

Selling a physical but highly customizable product (comparable to a T-Shirt configurator). Customers should be able to enter several text fields(input and textarea). Can this be achieved by attributes? Or is it just a front-end thing? Of course the input (and so the configured product) must be saved with the order and inputs should be sent to the manufacturer.

 

Now making it more complex: One of the text inputs should affect a real attribute, for example the size. A longer input text requires a bigger size of product variant. And connected via the size it has impact to the price, ie. bigger variant costs more. This certainly needs to be achieved with Javascript clientside only. There could be a trigger which changes the selected option of a disabled or even hidden size-attribute-field depending on length of the input text.
