Modules not showing in frontend

Hi guys,

 

suddenly our prestashop 1.4.7.3 won't show installed modules in the front end - everything is fine in back end, they show under positions and I can drag'n'drop them, but nothing on the front end - even activated force decompile won't help.

 

We already have installed 3rd party modules before and everything worked fine, but not for the last 2 days.

 

What could that be? Anyone experiencing/experienced a similar issue? Help!!

I'm having the exact same problem

I'm using Prestashop 1.4.9. I just uninstalled the PayPal module with the intent of reinstalling it to see if it would fix some issues. Now the modules do not show in the front-end. Did either of you figure out what the problem was?

And it looks like it wasn't the uninstall of the PayPal module that did it, but rather the install of a later version of the PayPal module. I upgraded to 3.2.4 and now I receive an error when the modules page loads:

 

Fatal error: Call to undefined method ShopBackwardModule::getTheme() in /home/sproduct/public_html/shop/modules/paypal/paypal_abstract.php on line 122

 

I've attempted to update to the most recent backwardcompatibility module, but it doesn't help the situation. The only way I know of to get the modules to load now is to remove the PayPal module
