TechDaddies-Kevin
We have set up prestashop and have configured 1 zone (Canada) and edited the Canada country to belong to that zone. We have correctly installed and configured the Fedex shipping module (And it has the green check to indicate that all is well) and have ensured that the Canada zone is selected for every fedex shipping method on the carriers page. But when we proceed to checkout with a Canadian address, we are given the error that There are no carriers available that deliver to this address. Please help us solve this problem. This is the only thing left to configure on this store and it's driving me crazy because everything appears to be set up perfectly from what I've read. What am I missing? TechDaddies-Kevin
Bump. Please help. We desperately need to make this shop live and can't figure out why the shipping methods aren't showing!
benjamin utterback
Dear Kevin, Hello and welcome to PrestaShop forums. If you don't mind, I will post a few links that I know has helped people in the past with this problem. Each of these links have a different piece of the puzzle. Please read carefully. I hope this helps. http://www.prestatraining.com/prestashop-1-4-tutorials-shipping-tab-tutorial/ http://alvinjiang.blogspot.com/2011/05/prestashop-tip-no-carrier-available-to.html http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS14/Managing+Shipping http://www.webhostinghub.com/support/edu/prestashop/104-manage-shipping/fedex-shipping-module Cheers, Benjamin
TechDaddies-Kevin
Thank you for the links. However, t hey did not solve our issues. I have created a test courier called Free, assigned it to our shipping zone and created a weight range for it and it works perfectly. But we still cannot get the stock fedex module to show on on the frontend. We have installed the fedex module and configured it. It tests OK. We have assigned each fedex shipping method to our zone. Yet on checkout with an address in that zone, we do not see fedex as an option. This is driving me nuts.
benjamin utterback
Okay, does the Fed-Ex shipping option show up for any country, or state?
TechDaddies-Kevin
You mean on the front-end? We only have one country and one zone, and every fedex shipping method is assigned to that one zone. But no, we cannot get it to appear at all. benjamin utterback
Okay, do you have Fed-Ex to be billed by weight or price. Also, is this setting the same under Shipping >>Billing?
TechDaddies-Kevin
On the shipping tab, we have it configured to bill by weight. And on the weight ranges link, the fedex module automatically created a weight range for each method, from 0lbs to 10000lbs. Where else should I look? benjamin utterback
Okay, thanks. You created a new zone just for Canada? Have you tried to just set it as default North American zone?
TechDaddies-Kevin
Canada is the only place that orders are accepted from, so yes, we did. There are no other zones in the installation. Just Canada. And the only country in the Canada zone is Canada. And fedex is assigned to that zone in every shipping method.
benjamin utterback
Thanks for the message. You can only enable "Canada" in the "countries" subtab under "Shipping". That way only Canada will be able to place orders. Also, you can set "Canada" to the zone "North America". There is no need to actually create a new zone. Try that, I hope it makes sense. TechDaddies-Kevin
That did not fix anything. Please don't forget that I have created a custom courier called "Free" and assigned it to my canada zone and it works perfectly fine.
benjamin utterback
Yes, what version of PrestaShop are you running, and also, what version of the Fed-Ex module are you running?
TechDaddies-Kevin
Presta 1.4.8.2 Fedex 1.2.
TechDaddies-Kevin
We just installed and configured the CanadaPost module just like we did the fedex one and it is working perfectly on the frontend.
benjamin utterback
That's a good thing! I'm not sure what is wrong with the Fed-Ex module. I would say go into your FTP delete the module, and re install the version from the latest version of PrestaShop.
TechDaddies-Kevin
I doubt that's going to solve anything since this is already a brand new fresh copy of both PS and the fedex module.
benjamin utterback
I would probably doubt it as well. Stranger things have happened. Also, this would give you a chance to reconfigure and reconnect your Fed-Ex module.
benjamin utterback
Who is hosting your website. I would double check and make sure they have SOAP enabled. php-soap and not pear-soap.
TechDaddies-Kevin
It is our server and soap is installed and working fine. When you save the module settings, it contacts fedex to verify them. If SOAP weren't working, it wouldn't be able to do that.
TechDaddies-Kevin
Uninstalled fedex module, uploaded new files, reinstalled and configured...same problem.
benjamin utterback
Okay, when you go to the Shipping tab and you scroll down to Fees by carrier, geographical zone, and ranges Please select the carrier and make sure that the ranges are configured correctly
TechDaddies-Kevin
Yes they are. In the dropdown, there is an option for each of our enabled Fedex shipping methods. Upon selecting that method, we see our weight range (0lb to 10000lb) just fine. As I said above - These ranges and all are all created automatically when you enable the shipping module. benjamin utterback
Do the products you are testing to Purchase have their weights set up? Also, if there are in a warehouse, make sure that the products have a zip code associated to them.
