New Customer Confirmation Email - How to add "Thank you for subscribing to our newsletter"

Is there any way to add "Thank you for subscribing to our email" and/or "Thank you for opting in to our partner deals" to the New Account Confirmation email?

 

Is there some customer variable that could be leveraged for that?

Conditional.

 

If somebody (who may or may not be a registered customer) subscribes through the front office newsletter block, they get a confirmation email "Thank you for subscribing".

BUT if somebody just checks the newsletter box when they create the customer account, they dont get any confirmation that they are subscribed.

If would be nice if there could be a conditional line in the New Account Email Template that includes a newsletter subscription confirmation. Same with the Opt Ins.
