Paypal logo confusing customers at checkout

Recommended Posts

My customers think they need a Paypal account to check out because:

There is a button in the checkout process that you have to choose to move forward in the checkout process. The button has the Paypal logo and it also states that you can pay with a credit card and that you do not need a Paypal account (Screen shot 1 attached). After clicking this button you are taken to the next screen and there again is a Paypal logo that states that you have chosen to pay with Paypal. On this screen you select a button that says I confirm my order (Screen shot 2 attached). After clicking "I confirm my order" you are presented with a screen to enter your credit card info. By the time my customers reach the credit card screen they have gone through 5 different screens. Is there and easier and quicker solution?

Paypal says that I need to use Paypal Pro which costs 30.00 dollars a month and I have to purchase a module for 199.00.

Is this the only solution?

How can I improve the checkout experience for my customers?

Thank you,

Riki

May I ask what type of paypal module are you using and what type of paypal account you currently have? I just wanted to ask cause I know of several people with some similar issues. Not with screens but a module that lets a customer pay with a credit card with the standard business account

I am using the free Paypal module v2.8.5

I have been using Paypal standard but I recently upgraded my Paypal account to Paypal pro because Paypal tech support said that I needed Pro. But, they have also told me that Paypal Advanced would work. Since I am getting different stories from Paypal, I thought I would ask on the Prestashop forum.

I do not think advance will work here I was told they are developing a module but that's what they said. Are your customers able to pay now with a credit card without having a account? Paypal told you it would work here? I saw on their site where it said only certain shops was able to use that feature did you see that?

Hi, If you go to "Preferences" in your Back Office you can make the "Checkout" process to appear in one page only. (skipping the 5 Steps)

See picture.

Hope this helps!

Just switched to one screen check out and that helps with the multiple screens but I still have the two Paypal logos that are confusing my customers.

Looks the same as the two screen shots that I attached in the original post.
