GZIP and htaccess file

Recommended Posts

Hello community!

I've been told I need to active the Gzip compression of my store. However, I'm afraid to do it because I already generated an htaccess file when I activated the Friendly URLs.

Activitaing the Gzip compression would overwrite my file? What can I do to avoid any damage?

Well, I already activated the Gzip compression and it turn my site slower. I have a server response of 10 seconds. I desactivated the compression but my site is still slow. DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. PLEASE HELP ME
