Can Prestashop be configured to fit these needs?

I need an ecommerce platform that allows for trading of items and for several different members be able to host and sell their own products on their own storefront.

 

I know that Prestashop looks nothing like this with the basic install, but do you guys think that I could extend Prestashop to have these capabilities or would it be more efficient to start my project from scratch?

 

I know this is a broad question but I am wondering if the community would have some insight on this before I dive into this coding project. Thank you in advance!

There are other platforms that would be better for this. Prestashop doesn't have the ability to register other people to sell items and things like that. That type of software is a different bird in itself.

Would you have any platforms in mind? I do have a development team and since I have not found any other platforms that allow multiple registered users, I figured that I could drastically extend Prestashop since the sale and checkout functionality is all there. I figured that this would be better than developing my own platform from scratch or with a basic framework.
