Please help all my images have disappeared regen thumbnails

Hi I tried to regenerate my thumbnails and now every single product's images have disapeared.

 

Now - the path to an image on a product page looks like this:

 

http://www.mystore.com/8084-large/richard-james-english-handmade-black-white-billfold-wallet-.jpg

 

This does not seem right. I have lost everything.

 

Please if anyone can help I would be very grateful.

I think this is because all of the directories were secured as 755. I am now trying to recursive change the security on all directories in the img/p folder. PrestaShop creates ALL directories with 755 and not 777. Do you think this could be the cause of the problem.

No likely a permissions issue (it uses the same functions as adding a new image on the product editor).

 

Did it run for about 30 seconds and then stopped? if so, it's a timeout issue.

 

It was permissions. I am having major problems with this install and it's mostly down to how my server has been configured. Any directories that Prestashop creates (such as modules) is created so that I cannot modify them with ftp.

 

Also - all new directories are secured 755 and so I had to recursive set permissions on all folders in img / p to get the thumbs to regen.

Sounds like poor configuration by your host.

 

You should be able to upload modules from PS and have then as 755 with the same owner / group as your FTP user.

 

Whenever uploading something from the BO messes the permissions, it means your host has done a bad job at configuring the server.

Hi I have mailed my host about this.

 

Do you think it could be the reason why I am having so many other problems? I cannot seem to get any support so I'm not sure what my next step is:

 

Layered Navigation Not Working

 

Modify Attribute Not Working

 

Also I piurchased the Facebook "Like" coupon module from Prestashop yesterday morning. People are "liking" my page but get no notification of a voucher - have mailed the team but no reply...

Hard to say if those issues are related, but it could be.

 

As for the facebook module, you should give them a bit more time, they usually get back to everyone.

If you still don't heard anything back, try asking Mike, the community manager here.
