One voucher per product

Hello dear community,

 

I am trying to create a special voucher rule - 1 discount voucher usage should be limited to 1 item only.

 

Here is my case: I have 5 items that can be purchased with a discount of 50%. User receives a voucher code and he can choose one of those items, enter the voucher code and get the discount. But he should use only one voucher per one item. It is really important.

 

I have managed to create a hidden category, so that discount is only applied to these 5 items. User enters the code and discount is activated. But I can’t find a way to control the quantity of items that are ordered with discount.

 

Is there a way to set maximum number of discounted items per order?

I have an idea: I can set the discount to a certain amount, thus it will work for 1 item only.

BUT, as I said before, I have 5 different products with different prices.

So, if I could create different rules for one voucher code used in each category, I could acheive what I need.

 

So, may be somebody knows a way to apply different rules for each category, using 1 voucher code?

Create a new category (hidden), make sure the product you want is in that category (in addition to the current category), and create a new voucher with is restricted to the new category you created.

Well, thank you for the reply. I have already done that.

 

But how can I set the maximum number of discounted items per order?

I mean order can contain any number of items, but ONLY ONE OF THEM has to be discounted.

That would require a module or modification as PS does not offer this option.
