Smarty Cache Ignores Theme Elements?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We developed a custom theme for a client and installed it and everything works great. We started from the default prestashop theme in this effort and just modified from there. As part of this development we removed the title element from <a> tags in the block categories template. We were using some html in the category descriptions and titles just looked like a bunch of html code.

This all works great and looks great while we are in development mode. As soon as we went to production though, the title tags mysteriously come back and we can't figure out how to get rid of them.

We did find that we could turn on cachefs without a problem and turn off smarty force compile with out and issue, but as soon as we enable smarty cache the problem reappears.

We did manually delete the existing cache files in \cache, \smarty\cache, \smartyv2\cache and in the \theme\ourtheme\cache directories, but this does not seem to matter. As soon as smarty cache is turned on they reappear. Does anyone have any other ideas of where smarty might be caching something or why it this behavior might be coming up with the template.
