Product combinations with different packing quantities

We are setting up a PrestaShop to sell tape and other supplies.

We have a tape product that we have set combinations for size, color and length. The issue we are running into is 2" tape is packed 36 rolls per carton but the 3" tape is packed 24 rolls per carton. What is the best way to address this problem? Thanks

It's hard to understand what you mean exactly.

 

If they come with different pack sizes per roll, can't you have the length take into account this different as price impact?

You are right I was not very explicit in explaining. Price is not the problem, I can adjust the price up or down accordingly.

Is it possible to have the description change for each combination so it can say these are packed 36 when they choose one combination and these are packed 24 when the other combination is chosen. I realize I can just have the short description explain about each packing but I thought maybe there was another way.

No, there is no built in way to do that.

The Reference filed does change on the product page, you can try to assign each combination something like "24 pack" and "36 pack".

 

I think that may do the trick.
