Handling last item in the stock

Hello all,

I have this basic doubt.

suppose I have one item in my stock (inventory), does prestashop allow more than one customer to add it to the cart? If it allows how does it come to know who should get the product? At what point of time does prestashop check for inventory?

 

If prestashop does not allow to add the product to the cart by more than one customer then how does it handle the problem of a customer having it in cart and never buying the product?

 

Ill be really grateful if some one answers this question..

Prestashop can handle this if you set:

"Enable stock management"

in BO-->preferences-->Products
