[SOLVED] No e-mail notifications are sent

Recommended Posts

It seems like my prestashop suddenly changed its mind and decided not to send any notifying e-mails anymore, at least to the guys running the shop. No e-mail is sent to the specified contact when an order is made nor when a customer sends a message via the contact form. Customers still gets the confirmation e-mails though.

E-mails are sent using given SMTP parameters.

This problem started in version 1.4.3 and still going strong after I've updated to 1.4.6.2.

Any ideas?

Ok, it seems like there has never been any notification e-mails when orders has been made. The e-mails about new orders actually came from the payment service.

Correct me if I'm wrong, the shop should send an e-mail when there's an order, right?

Check and make sure you have installed the 'Mail Alerts' module. If that has been installed I would switch to PHP mail and see if that works.

Hope that helps!

Yep, that was the problem. I thought I remembered from an earlier setup of PS that I didn't have to make an active choice whether the shop would send mail alerts or not. I remembered wrong. Thank you!
