MontyVeda
hi guys, I'm in the process of setting up a blinds and curtains shop but aren't sure how i should set up the products. for example, wooden Venetian blinds are available in 7 colours, and 3 slat widths... as well as being available in made to measure widths and drops. (no idea how I'm going to set that up!) would it be better to: list each colour and slat width as a separate product, totalling 21 list each colour with the slat widths as a combination, totalling 7 list each slat width with the colour as a combination, totalling 3 list the wooden blind as a single product, with both the colour and slat widths as combinations. I know it's upto me at the end of the day how i set it up, I'm just wondering if anybody has similar shops and have, through trial and error felt one way is better than another. Ideally i'd rather just set them up the once and get it right 1st time. Thanks in advance.
Carolina Custom Designs
I would definitely use the last combination you listed (i.e. single product with color and width as attributes). This, I think, would be the easiest and also the lest confusing for your customers. Just my opinion! Marty Shue
fashionpup
I agree. Slat with colour combo. And then you can have the other blinds come up in related products under each product....it's much easier. However, it also depends on what people are searching for. Are they searching for coloured blinds or are they searching for blinds of certain dimensions?
