How to use Layered Navigation Block with Featured Products

Hello there,

 

I'm new to Prestashop so I can't quite seem to figure out the following:

 

My shop will only have a few products. I want to present all the product on the very first page, meaning Index.php. For that purpose I use the module Featured Products to show the products.

 

Now, I would like to add the module Layered Navigation Block and make it work on index.php together with the featured products. BUT the Layered Navigation Block module won't show on index.php. The module only shows if create a category, put the products in that category and then click on the category in my shop.

 

Can someone advice how to make the Layered Navigation Block module work together with Featured Products module on the main page (index.php) ?
