Module Troubles in Back office

Recommended Posts

Someone out there please help !! For some reason while in my back office when I click on my Modules tab it no longer shows my installed and available Modules... only gives me the position option and than directs me to transplant a module.. I don't want to transplant a module ; ( It used to show a green check mark next to all the installed and properly working modules ?? just by clicking on the module tab in back office... how do I get this back to working that way again ?? anyone know

I did update to the newest version prestashop version which was causing troubles with my shopping cart not allowing orders to be completed... so I used the rollback to convert back to my older version.. Now I am not able to access my modules under the "modules" tab ??

When I click on MODULES it used to show all my available modules with a green check mark next to the one I currently had installed.

Now it shows nothing unless I click on positions under the sub tab... which than directs me to the Modules but when i click on the "edit" area it asks me to transplant a module...

Very frustrating - I can't turn on or off the modules any more nor can I edit them...

Any suggestions Fabien ?? and thank you for your reply ; )

Hi,

Okay, I think it come from a memory problem.

Could you enable display errors in "config/config.inc.php" ? If you see an error message like "out of memory" or "memory limit reached", you should ask your hosting provider to up your memory limit. In the last version, the module tab is a bit heavy. I'm working to make it lighter in PrestaShop 1.5 :)

How did you rollback, did you delete what was your ftp and upload the older vesion or did you reupload your older version on the newest one ?

If you delete first, you should not have the issue.

If you reupload and overwrite your new version with your old version, you just have to do this :

- Delete your modules directory on your ftp

- Reupload your old modules directory on your ftp

I started by adding the Upgrade Modual to my Tools Tab in back office than did the steps required and uploaded to the 1.4.5.... from my current 1.3.2.3

When my shopping cart had issues with the new 1.4.5 version I used the roll back option on the: Tools - upgrade - rollback in the backoffice...

I'm thinking I reloaded my old version over the new version

Here is a copy & paste of that area where I rolled back:

Rollback

After upgrading your shop, you can rollback to the previously database and files. Use this function if your theme or an essential module is not working correctly.

rollback

Fabien,

I juust ended up having my website totally restored to a previous point to get the backoffice working.. The problem I see is with the new version and the rollback doesn't completely remove all the old files ??

Sure wish Prestashop made it easier to update to the newere platform!! I thought that the updater module was the trick but ended up causinmg me grief in the end... Thank you for all your help !!
