collect
I have tried to get my contact form to work. First, please tell me where I enter the email address for the contact form, just to make sure I have that right. Now, I have notified my host and they say it "is not on their end", to contact the maker of the script, or my ISP. My ISP? They said they set up a test email account (in cPanel) and sent an email from it and it worked. Also, my "send a friend" email is not working. If I remember correctly, when I first installed Prestashop, it worked. This was a little over a month ago. Any help would ne greatly appreciated! cerberus22
Hi Collect,my email system started going wrong as well but i found a way around itLook under Prefrences/email in the back office (admin) and you will be able to use any yahoo or other email account (Set my own SMTP parameters. For advanced users ONLY). for instance if you have a yahoo email account set the smtp server to : smtp.mail.yahoo.com smtp user will be your email addressand your password is your yahoo email account password.and set port to 25 (for yahoo email accounts)(the above settings are for yahoo email accounts only)doing this solved my problem (but i dont know if it will solve your "send to a frend" problem)all the best,cerberus22
collect
I think I found the problem, for why my host email was not working. It says you must use "My Server Requires Authentication"Prestashop doesn't offer that option. Could that be why its not working with the host email account I made?I guess I will try the Yahoo email. Thanks for the help, will try that.
