JakobFriis Posted October 23, 2011 Share Posted October 23, 2011 I have just upgraded to version 1.4.5.1 and implemented the prestashop_new theme (1.5) The first time my customers visit the shop using chrome, the browser asks for permission to run the Windows Media Player plugin. I can not see anything on the front page that is missing if the plugin is blocked. Has anybody seen this also ? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
eleven28 Posted October 25, 2011 Share Posted October 25, 2011 I had the same thing on two of my PrestaShop installations and noticed it happening on a lot of other PS stores too. It has to do with PrestaShop sending a request to see what plugins are installed in the customer's browser - Chrome interprets that as a request to run the Windows Media Player plugin, and then asks for permission. If you disable the Software Stats module under Modules > Analytics & Stats, it goes away. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
