Steph66
Hi, I'm new to Prestashop and just starting out. I am trying to install a new theme bought from TemplateMela. The instructions are a little vague in that they say.... Copy the directories from “PrestaShop Files” (provided in to ZIP file) to your prestashop root. Copy those directories at your prestashop root respectively, e.g Your copy path will be “/theme/PRS010020” I'm not quite understanding that and don't want to make a mess. If I follow that instruction exactly I'll be taking directories from out of "Prestashop Files" and uploading them to my root. In doing so I would be overwriting some default Prestashop directories like img, modules and themes. That doesn't seem to be a good idea to me. Can anyone explain how I should do this please? Dave L
What directories were included with the theme? If you have for example /PrestaShop Files/modules and Prestashop Files/theme/PRS010020 you would copy the content of the /PrestaShop Files/modules into your /modules directory and the PRS010020 folder into your /theme directory In this example the theme is supplied with module/s that are not included with the default installation but are require for this theme. Having had a quick look at the developers site it looks like the theme would include some sort of top menu module.
Steph66
Thank you for the reply. I contacted the developer and got a quick response and fix, excellent service. Thanks again. Malcolm
