wh0is
Hi There, I am very new to Prestashop and I just wanted to be sure I am planning correctly. Thank you beforehand for reading my post. If I for example download a 'free' theme that I like to start with, meaning that I like the overall layout and logic of the theme, but I want it to adapt it to my business (changing colors, buttons, graphics, etc) I can use css (global.css) for all of that, am I correct? as I do not have the ability to code a theme from scratch but can tailor (through css) a theme that I like. and would a theme compatible with version Prestashop 1.4.2.5 work with your latest Prestashop release 1.4.4.1? Thanks again, James
Carl Favre
Hi whOis, You should be able to change most of the theme layout in the css. Depending of the theme, you may also have to modify some TPL files. About theme compatibility, if it is specified that the theme is working with all 1.4 it should be ok otherwise there might be some changes to do to make it compatible.
