Email flow

Hi all:

 

I'm understanding how to prestashop works yet.

 

Well, I would like to know which is the emails flow used in prestashop? I mean, I know that emails are sending when the customer make a new order, when from backoffice change state of any oder, and other ...

 

I'm testing prestashop 1.4.4.1 and I have been seing that no send any email when a new user is created. Is it correct works? or Is it a bug on this version?
