SEO friendly URL does't work

Hi,

 

I have this problem with the SEO friendly URLs:

 

I have enabled this function and I have set

my-account.php to go to my-account

I also have generated .htaccess file, but I still get this:

mydomain.com/authentication?back=my-account.php insted of mydomain/my-account

 

If I check the server header for this URL mydomain.com/authentication?back=my-account.php

I've got:

 

#1 Server Response: http://mydomain/authentication?back=my-account.php

HTTP/1.1 200 OK

 

which obviously shows that the long URLs have not been rewritten and I will end up with 2 URLs for every page on my website.

I would really appreciate if someone helps me to solve this.
