I would like to know if its possible to block registration on my shop. I would like to make it invite only, so I can give a code to the people i want to be able to register. It currently does not have a "password" which can be used to automated the approval, but that's not very secure, as someone could share this password with others. However, I do get your point! (Maybe a solution would be that they give us the email and we send out an invitation) I see some problems in your solution: 1. Where do people go to register? I don't see a register button. 2. How do you deal with those 5000 spams you may get of people trying to login? You would do nothing else all day besides accept / decline users.. You only get alerted when someone tries to register on the site, do you really expect to have 5000 people try to register on your site per day? patrick81 Posted August 15, 2011 Author Share Posted August 15, 2011 Of course not, but I also don't expect to spend time sitting and researcing if the people trying to register are the stores I want, or just random customers looking at the products that they bought in their local store, to see if they can find it cheaper online. What I would like, as I said in the beginning would be some sort of invite code or something, that basically blocks the possiblity for the normal person to register and waste my time.
