petera Posted March 14, 2008 Share Posted March 14, 2008 I have set up a small shop that currently has 2 categories one with with 7 sub categories and the other with 1 sub category at the moment. When I access the categories from the left hand link tree it shows the sub categories as expected with an image and link to products in the subcategory. However underneath the list of items in the subcategory is a line then text saying no products in this category eg Image1 image2 image3 link1 link2 link3 image4 image5 image6 link4 link5 link6 image7 link7 ------------------------------------------------ There is no product in this category. petera Posted March 16, 2008 Author Share Posted March 16, 2008 Ah Ha. Found the problem. After looking at some of the sites that others have created and a little trial and error found out what was happening. Some sites place an example or featured product on the subcategories page by ticking the appropriate box in the tree structure on the product editing page. If there is no product with this box checked the text 'There is no product in this category.' To remove this the category.tpl has to be modified to remove this string.
