Installing 1.4.4 - stalls at step 3

Í'm installing 1.4.4. At step 3 of the installer, I press next and it stays on the same page.

Anyone an idea what could cause this?

Just found a workaround. I changed my location from the Netherlands to Nepal and it works !

Mmm, admin doesn't have all options/tabs, quick access dropdown is empty and the shop just shows fatal error

There is a issue you selecting country. Can leave the country as default at the time of setup and later once logged in admin can change the country.

I faced the same problem, my version 1.4.4 did not move away from Stage 3 even after I click the next button. I left the country as default but did not help.

 

Secondly, I noticed the shop was successfully installed but I cannot logon to the admin ( after changed the name of the admin folder ) and deleted the install folder ) because the system did not recognized my email address which I provided during the installation steps.

 

 

NOTE: I found the trick to get it done today (4Aug2011) !

 

At stage 4 - Shop configuration, After you have fill up your name and email address, DO NOT click on "Receive notifications by e-mail", then click on the next button. The installation will take seconds to complete
