tintacreative
Hi, i have no success in uploading CSV to prestashop v1.1i tried to create a csv files based on some samples in these forums, but i do believe most of them are mean for version 1.0. I do believe the basic needs is the same, but still i cannot proceed with importing it.I have few question in mind, and I would really appreciate it if anybody can help.1. I did some reading and try on my own, and this is what it looks like on the columns side ID,Active,Name,Categories,Price tax excl. or Price tax incl.,Tax rate,Wholesale price,On sale,Reduction amount,Reduction per cent,Reduction from,Reduction to,Reference #,Supplier reference #,Supplier,Manufacturer,EAN13,Ecotax,Weight,Quantity,Short description,Description,Tags,Meta-title,Meta-keywords,Meta-description,Text when in-stock,Text if back-order allowed,Image URLs,Feature Can somebody clarify that this is ok?2. I try to put the details based on my understanding, and this is what it looks like 21,1,PS004,(Home,Konvo UMP 09,Persiapan),0,0,0,1,0,0,(2009-01-20),(2009-01-29),PS004,InsaPhoto,Universiti Malaysia Pahang,0,0,0.050,1000,,,,,,,In-Stock,Pre-Order,http://www.tintacreative.com/Images/store/PS004.jpg,, Can somebody clarify that this is correct?3. What should i put if my amount is 0, let say on the Reduction Amount column, if I want to put 0 reduction, should i just type 0 or leave it blank?4. If let say i have nothing to put in the column, like for EAN13 column, i dont want to put anything, so should i just leave it blank like ,xx,,yy, or I need to put something inside?5. At the import windows, after I upload a csv files, then i choose the file the i click NEXT. The next windows state YOUR DATA, what should i do next, i try to click Import CSV Data, and it says Column Name * must be set when i choose Name and click Import CSV Data, it did upload, but shows 2 errors, and nothing happen to my product list. What went wrong? Please advice, or give me some ideas. Thanks in advance

Ganeish
Excuse for my bad english, but I try:in your column Category, you have to write a number. The same as your categoriy ID, you will find this one in your back office. The column "Name" is the only one who is required
jhnstcks
4. If let say i have nothing to put in the column, like for EAN13 column, i dont want to put anything, so should i just leave it blank like ,xx,,yy, or I need to put something inside? If you have nothing to add in a column for any of your products, then just delete the whole column.3. What should i put if my amount is 0, let say on the Reduction Amount column, if I want to put 0 reduction, should i just type 0 or leave it blank? Add a zero, or remove the column if no product has a reduction.5. At the import windows, after I upload a csv files, then i choose the file the i click NEXT. The next windows state YOUR DATA, what should i do next, i try to click Import CSV Data, and it says You need to tell the software what each column represents, there should be little dropdown boxes with all the column options, scroll up or down and select the appropriate heading. If you dont need a column select "ignore this column"If you have added column headings into your csv file dont forget to skip the first line.http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/10586/general_discussion/can_some_one_please_post_how_they_managed_to_get_the_import_to_work_will_pay_for_help_if_need_be Read through this thread, I helped Rory with his csv file and there are some example files that work with v1.
