petera
I have installed prestashop on a server and seems to be running okay except I cant login to the shop. I go through the create an account process and the data is saved in the data base (checked through phpmyadmin) but the account holders name does not appear in the login area of the header. If I try to order a product it goes through the cart ok but directs me to the login/create account screen. I have asked for a new password via the remember password option and I receive a new password via the email address. The backend login and password is working ok. Any thoughts on what might be the problem. Cheers Peter A
Bruno Leveque
Hi petera, I think you got a problem with cookies... : Could you describe here your technical environment? - Web server (Apache, IIS...) - PHP/SQL version - Full path where PrestaShop is installed Thanks
petera
Thanks for the response Bruno, I did remove the cookies associated with Prestashop as identified by FireFox but that didnt work. I cleared all the cookies and that solved the problem. As you say there was probably a rogue one sitting there upsetting things. I think the server is running windows server 2003, PHP 5.x and mysql 5.x Am spending the evenings at the moment adding products and images while my [spam-filter] updates the descriptions etc. Only have the payments to finalise and then we will be officially up and running. We are using Prestashop to create an online shop for my wifes handmade jewellery. It has become quite a family affair with my son providing IT expertise, his partner providing the pretty neck to display necklaces, my [spam-filter] creating the jewellery and me looking after the website. Lots of fun. Regards Peter A
