Jimbo50
I had a customer place and pay for an order through Pay Pal. The order showed as "Payment Error" to the customer and in BO so the customer tried again and this has resulted in two payments being made through Pay Pal but order still shows as "Payment Error".Any suggestions would be gratefully received. jennywill
Help I have the same problem - I believe it is coming from my USPS module and for some reason the insert to the database for the shipping value is short (usually by a quarter in my case), but shipping is sent through the rest of the process just fine and the customer pays the correct amount. Also happens in Google Checkout so it isnt specific to paypal but does seem to be specific with the insert of the USPS shipping value. Thoughts?? tomerg3
In PS 1.3.6 it often means that the payment was made using e-check.Are you getting any paypal payments correctly?
Jimbo50
Tomerg3Payment has been received okay through Paypal although one customer paid twice (refunded of course) because of the message.I have attached a screenshot of an order page showing what happens at customer end.I am a web user not a developer or programmer so be simple for me please! Many Thanks Jimbo. Jimbo50
Tomerg3Thanks for your reply but I did not understand your comment.I answered the question about receiving direct credit through Paypal as normal and it would appear that an Echeque was not used. You only asked one question, was the other question (?) related to the Echeque?Any comments or advice would be gratefully received.CheersJimbo
tomerg3
Do you get any paypal payment without any errors (to customer of in the shop)
Jimbo50
No, only two customer orders received (so far) and both had same problem of £00.00 payment shown in PS and value of order shown although credit was received by Paypal.I have checked all my setting for payments and all would seem fine. I have another site running for Tarty Bags and setup I believe is the same and payment goes through without any problem.I will revisit and check all settings. Jimbo50
I have checked the settings on both of my sites and both would seem to be the same.I can't check the programme out as I am a complete novice but any suggestion would be a help.
jennywill
The amount that I receive from the customer in paypal is correct. Everything is fine except for the amount that was actually stored in the database for actual shipping charges. My workaround right now is this (tedious but all i have) - I have payment erros email to customer shut off and it supresses errors from their view on order. Customer does not get an email upon ordering from my cart but gets their paypal payment email. I also get my email from paypal which shows actual amounts paid and all are correct (shipping and product) I dont charge tax as that is lumped in my figures. From the paypal email i go in the database and change the shipping amount to the correct amount that was paid. Then I change the status to payment accepted in the back office which sends the customer the order email. Not sure why the wrong shipping amount is inserted into the database but sends to Paypal correct. Please Help as this is a gigantic pain. Thanks!
