Creuser
Hi, I have a problem on my site where when a new customer makes a new account and tries to checkout out they can only get as far as the address page. When they click to enter their address it logs them out and empty's the cart. The site is multi language and it only happens when French language is selected, not English. This only effect new customers and only when using the checkout pages to enter their address for the first time. juanrojas
Does the same thing happen if you use the default template?
bidbat
This usually happens when the session breaks on the French version of your site. A few quick things to check: 1. Clear all caches (Prestashop + theme + server). 2. Turn off “Check customer IP address” in Advanced Parameters → Administration. *3. Make sure the French checkout URL isn’t changing to a different path/domain. 4. Check the French address form — a missing required field can cause the page to reload and log the user out. Most of the time, it’s either a cache issue or a theme override in the French checkout.
Creuser
Thanks for your reply's..... Jaunrojas I haven't tried that, i will try it now Bidbat Have cleared all caches and still the problem exists "Check customer Ip address" already turned off French checkout URL don't seem to change Any overrides i have are just for colour changes and layout (so don't think these could be the problem ?) All fields are the same ....................................... Further to this I use Cloudflare so maybe a cache problem here ?
Creuser
This problem is now resolved. It is an error in Prestashops 9 translations that broke a link that wrapped the whole form and that's why the page was redirected. [1] Should be [/1] This is prestashop 9.1 and caused over 1 month of lost sales
Nickz
Presta is known to use their free user-base as guinea pig.- The 9ner Version is purely beta meaning with 8.2 you are better off.
