barriekenyon
I am a newbe to PrestaShop. Years ago I built intranet apps using MS ASP, javascript, SQLServer, IIS, etc. But anything Linux is new to me. I am attempting to upgrade my son's PS 1.5 shop to a later version, eg PS8 or PS9. My plan: build a local copy of PS and then work out how to do the upgrade. I have fallen at the first hurdle! I have a new installation of PS9.0.1 on a new Win 11 / WAMP setup. PS9 Installs OK but then Apache refuses to serve up both the shop or the back end. Entering https://localhost/PS9 into MS Edge produces: Hmmm… can't reach this page localhost refused to connect. Try: Checking the connection Checking the proxy and the firewall ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED Entering https://localhost/PS9/admin into MS Edge produces: Oops! An Error Occurred The server returned a "500 Internal Server Error". I am obviously new at this. What have I missed? Please help!! Very annoying Barrie The installation is: WAMP Server 2.4. barriekenyon
I have now also loaded PS8.2.3, under Win11 and WAMP 2.4. Everything loaded OK (after a minor edit of AppKernel.php), but again neither the shop or the back end will open. I get "We'll be back soon, currently updating ..." This looks like a Windows11/WAMP server issue, not PrestShop. Does anyone have any ideas for me? Help??? Barrie
