SebcioKa
Hi, I am now testing Hummingbird at Presta 9.0.1. I have a problem with native prestashop modules: Image Slider and Banner at Main Page. At Classic theme it works all fine but at Hummingbird it does not fit to width of responsively set body section but is displayed from edge to edge of monitor (Image Slider) or too narrowly (Banner). Any other modules at Main Page works fine. I have noticed that in Classic theme div class=container is set almost at the beginning of main section and contains all content of main section. But in Hummingbird it is not at the beginning of whole main section but is inserted inside some of module sections. Where it is module works fine, but in Image Slider and Banner it is missing. Because of some reason Hummingbird put it to some modules and does not to another. Is there any easy way to fix it? Thanks in advance.
JBW
I guess these are made full screen width on purpose to give it a more mordern look. To restrict the width you can either change the module tpl (in our child theme) by adding a .container div or change the width in your custom.css
El Patron
Yes, we ran into the same issue with the slider and banner modules and had to make manual width adjustments as well. It’s worth keeping in mind that Hummingbird (and Classic) are base themes. They’re intentionally minimal and the native modules that ship with them don’t offer many configuration options. They’re designed to let you build the essentials: catalog, taxes, shipping, cart, checkout – and you can go live with that. But the usual workflow, either right before launch or shortly after, is to switch to a high-quality theme that gives you extended menus, stronger configuration options, page builders like Elementor-style editors, etc. Otherwise you end up maintaining a growing list of tweaks in custom.css and custom.js just to handle layout adjustments like this. SebcioKa
Thank You for answers. Well, the biggest problem is that those are native modules for Main Page. We should expect consistency in the creation of modules to the new template. On the other hand it is still Hummingbird 0.2. Maybe in 1.0 solutions for modules will be more standardized. Thanks ones more. Have a nice one.
