PrestaShop 8.2 product combination price management [solved]

Hi all,

I am struggling with the price management of product combinations. You can se the price at the level of the Combinations where each product combination can be given a price, but you can also set a price in the "Pricing" tab which I would have expected to not be there.

So if I test it, I get the following

Example 1:

  • combo1 - price €10
  • combo2 - price €20
  • Pricing - €0

Then prices are correct but then what is the point of the Pricing tab?

Example 2:

  • combo1 - price €10
  • combo2 - price €20
  • Pricing - €5

The all my combo prices increase by the amount of the Pricing tab.

Can someone explain the logic here and what is the expected way of dealing with prices? I could not find clear documentation on this so if you have a link so some doc, it would also be welcome.

Many thanks,

Ed

Could I ask someone to share how they setup a product combination? It seems no one is able to answer the above so an example of how you use it is the next best thing. ;)

Thanks.

I ended up figuring it out. It makes sense even though it took finding the right doc to figure it out.

Set the product price in the "Pricing tab"

then for each individual item in the combinations, set a positive or negative "Impact on price" to reach the expected value.

Hope this can help someone.
