Rizzzle
Hello, Pic attached. Is there any way to go back to the default backoffice login? We don't want this under any circumstances. Have disabled the sneaky module and it still remains. Thanks
Webkul Solutions
To display the default backoffice login, you have two options: 1) Disable or uninstall the "PrestaShop Account" module from your Back Office. 2) On the login screen, click "Connect with another method" to use the default Back Office login form. Thanks for the reply. I have done these steps. The hijacked Backoffice screen still remains. I want it to go exactly like it was before. I did not give Prestashop permission to make a permanent alteration to my site. I have come up with a solution that bypasses this (will share to anyone via DM), but I want it permanently gone, it's unnecessary. Installing that PrestashopAccount module seems to have permantly altered the backoffice login. Thanks,
Webkul Solutions
Have you tried renaming the module folder? Navigate to the following path and try renaming the ps_accounts folder:Path: /root_dir/modules/ps_accounts

I no longer trust anyone affiliated with Prestashop after this. I'm not going to let them know how I have reversed it so they don't try patch it. Have you experienced similar? To me this feels like the beginning of the end for Prestashop. I also noticed they now snuck in a SuperAdmin user access through the backdoor. Maybe new owners of ps do better job or a moderator to clean forum up. Doubtful.

This behaviour by these modules is really intrusive and annoying.

Nickz
22 hours ago, Rizzzle said: This behaviour by these modules is really intrusive and annoying. The modules enhance prestashop and it's up to the client to use those. Modules also carry a risk. Paid or unpaid. Developing Outfits get swallowed (bought) by bigger companies with other, different mission statements. Today people get a free of charge shopping system, invest 0 to little money in Modules and development and if the shop does not do as they wish the Shop-system is to blame. Just look at the different threads, not many have been marked solved and more even lack a thanks to xxxx. Many of the complaints in shopping forums derive from a too limited hosting. Some hosts are just cheap. Won't give you access to ftp or sFtp.

Do that and then you cannot use some official payment module... In Basic edition, I can understand Prestashop SA is linked since it's packaged by them. But Prestashop SA are trying to do the same with other versions (ex self-hosted open source version), by "recommending" developers of module to make mandatory a link to Prestashop Account and use Event Bus. Without explanation or clear reason for that. Edited May 17 by yama (see edit history)
