henryjamesuk
I'm considering PrestaShop for my online clothing store and would love to hear from others who have used it. How does it handle product variations like sizes and colors? Is it easy to customize for a fashion-focused eCommerce business? Any pros and cons compared to other platforms like Shopify or Magento?
Daresh
Fashion seems to be what PrestaShop was desgined for in the first place, so it's a very good choice.
jeanluc.12
Hi, Yes, Prestashop allows to create the product variants or combinations easily for different attributes like size, color, etc. I also created a fashio store recently on Prestashop and it is fully customizable, see below screenshots how my store was looking initially and after customizing how it is looking. Before: After making the customizations: For your question about Magento and Shopify, I would say the Magento is bit heavy and Shopify has recurring monthly cost. El Patron
One can build a product catalog with attributes that can be included in facteted search, i.e. category filters...faceted search is strong feature. You can do faceted search also in shopify, magento as mentioned above is a bit heavy... Ok, as also mentioned shopify has recurring monthly cost but PS has recurring monthly cost of hosting. For me? Shopify is easier to integrate things like 'express checkout' using apple/gooogle/paypal/etc in PrestaShop this is more difficult. Also themes in shopify of much higher quality out of box...and easy to customize.... to use PrestaShop, at times you will need inhouse or bring in outside expert to help. I hope this helps, amazon is also good choice depending if amazon has domain for your country(s).
