Bot regitrations with captcha

Hi, 

Im getting a lot of new bot registrations per day all with the name James Doe and different emails.

I am using the module from my theme "Promokit captcha" with google repcaptcha.

Does anyone has an idea?

Have a huge issue with BOT crawling on our website, so much so that our service provider has had to take the site down and allow only whitelist access.

Struggling to gain back control and find where the 'hole' is in the code in honesty. Also unsure of how/where to insert a robust robot.txt file within the database - our host is Krystal.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
