Free virtual product can't be downloaded

Hello Community,

I want to provide a virtual product free of charge, that can be ordered without paying and then downloaded through the "virtual product for download" e-mail.

Everything appears to be working when I place an order. The e-mail is received and I can click on the file download link in the e-mail, which opens up the web browser. Then however, I receive a popup message in the browser stating "This order has not been paid". I'm then taken to the main page of the e-shop and no download occurs.

I have tried different web browsers and they yield the same result.

Any kind of help would be much appreciated.

If they are free of charges, why don't you just let them in free access without having to place orders to download them ? It would be simpler.
